cell phoneYesterday on the Oprah Winfrey TV show, many people across the country shared their stories of losing loved ones in car accidents where the other driver was either texting or talking on their cell phones.  Was it an eye opener!

I am one of those who is guilty of driving while texting on my cell.  I think until yesterday I had convinced myself that I could do those two things at once.  I was wrong!  The experts say that we go into a type of tunnel vision where we are just not taking in what is going on around us.  A very dangerous thing to have going on when we are behind the wheel of a car.

I am thankful today that I didn’t end up hurting anyone, or myself.  Here is Oprah’s Web site, where the people have been pledging non-stop for the second day now.  Please join me in taking the pledge.  It will save lives.  Maybe the life of someone you love!

hand’s free device purchased for your cell will make it more comfortable to talk on your phone even when you’re not driving.
